Taniesha Whorton is a dedicated community leader and advocate with a heart for public service, currently running for the District Two seat on the Cobb County Board of Commissioners. With over 20 years of experience in leadership development and community outreach, Taniesha has made a significant impact in Cobb County through her work with Faith Christian Center Church, the Cobb Police Athletic League, and various local initiatives aimed at supporting the most vulnerable members of our community.

 

Originally from Michigan, Taniesha relocated to Smyrna, Georgia, in 2016 and deepened her commitment to community service. As a licensed and ordained minister, she has been at the forefront of building bridges between the church, local law enforcement, and community organizations, fostering a spirit of unity and collaboration.

 

Taniesha's professional background is equally impressive, having served as the Executive Assistant to Deputy Chief of Police of Administrative Services in Cobb County and currently working at Bader Scott Injury Lawyers. Her academic credentials include a BS in Economics, an MBA in International Business, and an MPA in Government Affairs, equipping her with a broad understanding of economic and administrative challenges facing our community.

 

Her campaign is driven by a passion for public safety, community engagement, and economic development, with a vision to create a more inclusive, safe, and thriving Cobb County. Taniesha's commitment to integrity, strength, and community service makes her a distinguished candidate for the Cobb County Board of Commissioners.
